Job Description

You will be responsible for:

  • Client Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored legal solutions.
  • Legal Research and Analysis: Conducting comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies and advice.
  • Drafting and Review: Preparing and reviewing legal documents, including contracts, briefs, and pleadings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.
  • Representation: Representing clients in negotiations, hearings, and trials, advocating effectively on their behalf.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Advising clients on legal compliance, risk management, and regulatory issues pertinent to their business or personal matters.
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with colleagues and senior partners to achieve the best outcomes for clients and contribute to the firm’s success.

Educational Requirements
  • Essential:
    • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) from a recognized institution.
    • Admission to practice as a Solicitor in either New South Wales, Victoria, SA and QLD.
    • Valid practicing certificate and membership with the relevant Law Society or Bar Association.


Experience Requirements

Experience and Skills are required in Any of the Following:

  • Corporate and Commercial Law:

    • Experience in corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial contracts.
    • Strong understanding of corporate governance and compliance issues.
  • Family Law:

    • Experience in handling complex family law matters including divorce, child custody, and property settlements.
    • Ability to manage sensitive and emotionally charged cases with empathy and professionalism.
  • Property and Conveyancing:

    • Expertise in property transactions, including buying, selling, and leasing real estate.
    • Knowledge of conveyancing processes and property laws.
  • Employment Law:

    • Experience advising on employment disputes, workplace policies, and unfair dismissal claims.
    • Familiarity with employment regulations and workplace health and safety laws.
  • Litigation and Dispute Resolution:

    • Proven track record in managing litigation cases from inception to resolution.
    • Strong advocacy skills and experience in alternative dispute resolution methods.
    • Trusts Law:

      • Expertise in managing and advising on trust arrangements, including fiduciary duties and trust administration.
    • Estate & Will Law:

      • Experience in estate planning, will drafting, and probate matters.
      • Knowledge of legal requirements and best practices for managing estates.
      • Bankruptcy Law:

        • Experience in handling bankruptcy proceedings, insolvency issues, and creditor/debtor disputes.
      • Business Law:

        • Expertise in corporate transactions, business contracts, and commercial disputes.
        • Knowledge of business law principles and practices.
      • Banking/Financial Law:

        • Experience in advising on banking regulations, financial transactions, and compliance issues.
      • Tax Law:

        • Understanding of tax regulations, tax planning, and dispute resolution.
      • Public Law:

        • Experience with administrative law, constitutional issues, and regulatory compliance.


  • General Skills:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and timelines effectively.
    • High level of integrity and professional ethics.

Salary
  • Competitive Salary: $ 90,000-$140,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
